The illuminations were on from December 2^nd to January 5^th 2007

2007

Planning for the 2007 illuminations will start in July and refurbishment

will start in August.

July 22^nd

Twelve village children attended a Photo Call to have their photographs taken with some of our Christmas displays. The photos can be seen on this website.

Thanks to Abbie, Alexa, Amy, Corinne, Emily, Philippa, Sasha,

Ben, Cabhan, Dylan, Ollie and Younger Ben for being photographed.

August 17^th

The new website was launched on 17^th August 2007. Thanks to Dennis Milinevsky for his help in creating the site.

 November 15th

 The 2007 Christmas Lights were placed on the lamp posts.

November 16th

The Bonfire Committee donated £378 to the Towton Lights. Many thanks.

 December 1st

The illuminations will be “switched on” on Saturday December 1^st at 4.00pm and will

be lit until January 5^th 2008.

January 5th 2008

The illuminations have been switched off. Thanks to all our sponsors for their support.

 October 30th 2008

Maintenance and refurbishment work is well under way.

December 6th

The illuminations were "switched on" on Saturday 6th December at 4.30pm and were lit daily until January 5th 2009. 

January 5th 2009

The illuminations have been switched off after a very successful four weeks.

January 6th 2010

The 2009 Christmas lights were switched on at 4.30pm on the 5th December and could be seen each evening until the 5th of January when they were switched off. The display suffered from the cold snowy weather, with over 100 lamps needing changing. The childrens christmas party was also held on the 5th of December and santa called to distribute presents to the children. Many thanks to Simon Hinchcliff and S R Firn and son for sponsoring the childrens party.
